Harmony Timber Attain FORS Accreditation
We, at Harmony Timber are delighted to announce that we are now an accredited Bronze member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).
Becoming FORS accredited shows that we take safety, efficiency and the environmental impacts of our transport fleet seriously.
What is FORS and how does it benefit us and you, our customer?
FORS is a voluntary scheme for fleet operators and provides a standard for fleet operators to work to above the legal minimums. Many companies and government agencies are a part of the FORS advisory groups such as DVLA, Road Haulage Association, Department for Transport and the HSE.
As a member we have successfully passed an audit in our Kent location, where we have been acknowledged as operating safely, efficiently and environmentally friendly.
A copy of the checklist that we have been audited against is viewable here – www.fors-online.org.uk/resource.php?name=Bronze%20checklist%20-%20Annex%206
We are now able to undertake further training for our transport manager and vehicle drivers to ensure they are working above the normal standards set down by the law.
We plan to undertake further training for our transport manager and vehicle drivers to ensure they are working above the normal standards set down by the law. We are proud to be awarded the FORS accreditation and look forward to improving our fleet management and operations.
