The timber frame kit included Open Metal Web Joists (Posi Joists) and timber roof trusses. The timber frame erecting team were on site for a week and then the other trades followed in shortly. By using careful planning and logistics, timber framed houses can be erected quickly therefore introducing the other trades at an earlier stage; this has a knock on effect with a reduced overall build time and therefore a saving of costs. This combined with precise offsite manufacturing which reduces waste and reduces on-site risk culminates in a high precision, value engineered and yet cost effective solution to housing construction.
