Truss Project in Knebworth, Hertfordshire McCarthy & Stone instruct Harmony Timber Solutions for Roof Kit Design including Roof Truss, Spandrel & Gable Panels
Harmony have once again tackled a large, multi-level roof structure with intersecting pitches for McCarthy & Stone, for what will become one of their marvellous care homes in Knebworth.
We really do enjoy taking on these project, every project involves problems to find solutions for, out of the box thinking, highly detailed & descriptive drawings and the proud moment of seeing the end result erected by the highly skilled carpentry team.
For this project we supplied the roof as a kit including Roof Trusses, Ancillary Timber, Metalwork Spandrel Panels & Gable Panels.
With a roof this size, there are many relationships between everything from each individual truss, hanger, beam, rafter, hipboard, joist . . . . the list goes on! Every single component of our roof kits are fully designed to withstand the loading inflicted and any foreseeable load which may be added.
As usual we are thankful to McCarthy & Stone for instructing us on this project and giving our designers a chance to put their heads together in order to overcome any issues which came their way!
